By placing an order with Furniture Central, you confirm acceptance of these terms, which apply to all purchases made through our website or any other sales channels operated by us.
Eligibility to Order
To place an order with us, you must:
- Provide your real name, a valid UK telephone number, email address and accurate delivery information.
- Provide a valid delivery address within the United Kingdom.
Please note we cannot deliver to PO boxes, hotels, or temporary accommodation.
Payment & Security
All prices include VAT (where applicable). The total cost of your order includes product price, delivery charges (if any), and any payment processing fees applicable to your chosen payment method.
You confirm that the PayPal account, debit card or credit card used belongs to you or you are authorised to use it. All card payments are subject to validation and authorisation. If your payment is not authorised, we are not liable for any delays or non-delivery.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but we cannot accept liability for losses caused by unauthorised third-party access.
Delivery & Access
Free delivery covers most UK mainland addresses. Remote locations may incur surcharges depending on the merchant dispatching your order.
Small to medium items are delivered using standard couriers and may be left in a mailbox, safe place, or communal area. Tracking details are provided where available.
Large items are delivered to the ground floor entrance unless a specialist service is pre-arranged. If assistance to upper floors is required, please request this in advance for a quote.
Delivery windows are between 7am and 10pm. Missed deliveries may incur redelivery or cancellation charges.
Customers must ensure there is suitable access, parking, and space to receive large items. If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues, charges will apply.
You must inspect the item upon delivery. If packaging is severely damaged, reject the delivery and document with photographs.
Orders cannot be redirected once dispatched. Incorrect addresses provided by the customer remain their responsibility.
Fitting Services
If you have purchased fitting service, the item must be inspected before signing the job completion sheet. Any issues must be reported immediately with photographic proof.
If fitting is attempted and the item is later found to be damaged or missing parts, only replacement parts can be supplied. No refunds are available for items that have been assembled.
Returns, Damage & Loss
We offer a 14-Day Money Back Guarantee on most items. Items must be returned in original packaging, in perfect, resaleable condition.
Collection services are available and charged based on item and location.
Damage or fault reports must be submitted within 30 days of delivery. Significant damage at delivery must be photographed and the delivery rejected immediately.
Replacement parts are provided for damaged components—complete item replacement is not guaranteed.
If an item is returned in a condition that does not match the photographic evidence provided, it may be refused, or partial refunds may apply.
Mattresses, bedding, duvets and other close-contact items are returnable only if unopened and unused.
Refunds are processed within 7 working days using the original payment method.
Customer Responsibilities
- Items must be fully repacked for return collection.
- Customers must check labels and confirm the correct product before use or assembly.
- Customers must provide accurate information and safe access for deliveries.
- If a courier is instructed to leave an item in a safe place, loss/damage claims are waived.
Product Information
Colours, appearance and finishes may vary slightly from online images. Minor variations do not qualify as faults unless there is a clear mismatch (e.g., ordered grey, received white).
Measurements on product listings are approximate unless otherwise stated.
Some products may undergo minor manufacturer updates without notice. These are handled under standard return policies.
Order Changes & Cancellations
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Rejecting delivery without cancellation will incur failed delivery charges.
If an order is dispatched and then cancelled, return charges will apply.
Changes to an order must be confirmed in writing and may require additional payment.
Chargebacks & Disputes
We encourage all customers to resolve issues directly with our internal support team. If a chargeback is opened and later closed in our favour, all dispute fees will be payable by the customer.
If a customer receives a chargeback refund but retains the goods, they must either return the items or make payment immediately. Legal action may be taken for misuse.
Made-to-Order Items
Made-to-order products incur a 50% cancellation fee once production has begun, as these items are customised and cannot be resold at full price.
Guarantees & Warranties
Unless stated otherwise, items are supplied without manufacturer warranty.
Content & Intellectual Property
All content on this website is protected by UK copyright law. Copies may be made only for personal use. Any commercial use requires written permission.
Images are provided by merchants. Any copyright issues should be reported for investigation.
We are not responsible for information provided by third-party sellers.
Liability
Furniture Central is not liable for indirect or consequential losses including lost profits, business interruption or data loss.
Our financial liability is limited to the total value paid for the order.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control including courier issues, traffic, weather, or supply disruptions.
